N82 vs HTC Legend Comparison

Recently, I bought a new HTC phone. Previously I used Nokia N82.
After 2 weeks of using the new phone, you know, well, I always compare the new set with old during the transition period.

Several concerns are listed inside the table above. And, I notice that new phone not really new, I mean totally. Good function, not matter in hardware or software, it is still a big room for HTC to improve.

So, I only buy my handset while there is a new innovation or breakthrough.

I recalled that I bought N82 because I need to use the GPS during the Europe visit. As expected, it never failed me by the time I explored Berlin City and Leipzig by my own.

Now, I bought HTC Legend...emm not because of HTC, not because of touch screen. But I think, I wanna try the Android 2.1. HTC is not yet up to my expectation.

Significantly, N82 has stronger hardware specification than HTC Legend e.g. camera xenon flash, secondary camera, TV/Audio output etc even I compared this so-called newer phone Legend with older phone N82. As a result, N82 scores 47/64 while Legend scores 33/64.

I divert other site for the OS comparison. You can check the table for a better understanding of the current smart phone OS evolution.

iPhone OS usage is limited to iPhone only, compares to Windows Mobile 7 and Android - they are used by most phone in the market. Android application number is drastically increased.

Android is an open-source platform while WM7 is not. Strong back up of Google applications for Android is an advantage e.g. Goggle, Shoper, Sky, Map, GMail, NAV Launch, Translate, GDoc etc. These application makes your smart phone smarter.

Tips: if you just bought an Android phone - a very first step is setup your Gmail/Hotmail/Live, Facebook/Flickr/Twitter/Plurk and your contact. It will link the contact by it own automatically. Second, seek Google applications in the Android Market. Then, install them to your phone.
